Hello, Just so I don’t get pushed into the river next year, I thought I’d set the record straight. J  Whilst it is true I’m from Ohio I’ve lived in Mickleover since Jan 04.  Some co-workers who were in a joking mood the morning of the race (you have to be with weather like that) took it upon themselves to tell the announcer I was from Ohio; I’d have said I was from Mickleover.  While technically accurate to say I’m from Ohio, I saw it spin out of control a bit – especially when I saw the quote in the paper the next day.  When I saw the comment on the results page about the spelling of my name I thought I’d best give you my version because I  didn’t want you guys holding it against me next year.  If there’d been a prize or anything for furthest travelled I would have turned in down for the folks from Yorkshire or Poland.

By the way…great event!!!  I just started running this spring and am really enjoying it.  The ‘Dash’ was a great event.  Next year I’m wearing studded shoes.

Cheers

Scott Halley
